Villa with jungle view & pool near Manuel Antonio!

Casa Palmeras

There is nowhere in the world quite like Costa Rica. And no better place to absorb its beauty than our lovingly remodeled vacation rental in the rainforest, Casa Palmeras. With 2500 sq. ft. of interior living space, this standalone rental home shares no spaces or walls with anyone else.

In fact, it is one of the most private properties at Palmas Pacifica, a green, gated community in the jungle near Quepos.

We bought this home from its former owners in 2022 and went right to work on improvements, updating all three bedrooms and bathrooms, as well as the living and dining area. We added natural stone throughout and furnished it with hardwoods to create a tranquil retreat that is at one with its beautiful surroundings.

Bedrooms & Bathrooms

Three-bedroom suites at Casa Palmeras include one King, one Queen, and one Full — one on the bottom floor and two bedrooms upstairs. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, and all have large windows that let in views of the palm trees and pool area.

All three designer bathrooms have been completely remodeled and feature gorgeous walk-in showers with natural stonework, bowl sinks, and large vanities.

Kitchen & Dining

The home’s fully equipped kitchen makes cooking easy, with spacious granite countertops and all appliances, including a dishwasher, for easy cleanup. A big window over the sink looks out at the dazzling pool area, where you’ll find another option for cooking: a stainless gas grill and sink area, plus a brick pizza oven.

Have dinner al fresco at the outdoor table by the pool, or sit at the custom wood dining table with six ornate chairs, right near the kitchen for easy serving.

Other perks include fans throughout the home, A/C in each bedroom, and high speed, fiber optic internet for Zoom meetings and streaming.

A Day at Casa Palmeras

Wake up in a pillow-soft bed, brew a mug of tea or Costa Rican coffee, and head out to the balcony or patio to watch and listen as the jungle pulses to life. The lush, native flora surrounding Casa Palmeras regularly attracts toucans, butterflies, monkeys, iguanas, and hummingbirds.

Then take a 15-minute ride in your rental car or a taxi to Quepos Marina or Manuel Antonio National Park and its legendary beaches. Spend the day deeply relaxing in the present moment—it’s easy to do when you’re immersed in some of the most exquisite, untouched natural beauty in the world! Stop for ceviche and a chilled cocktail in Quepos before heading home.

TIP: Need help planning an excursion or picking a restaurant? Talk to your concierge at Palmas Pacifica, who is available to help book tours and activities, make restaurant recommendations, arrange for a spa day for you, share general info about the area, and more!

Returning after your adventures will be a welcome part of the day. Rinse away the saltwater in one of the natural stone showers, then step onto your pool patio, which is surrounded by leafy palms and fragrant flowers. Float on your back and listen to the birdsong that fills the trees. The homes at Palmas Pacifica are situated at a distance from each other, so you can lose yourself entirely in your safe surroundings.

For dinner, bring ingredients to the gas grill and prepare them poolside. Or opt for private chef services at your villa! The talented personal chefs at Palmas Pacifica will arrive and create fresh, family-style meals for your entire group.

Sit down to an al fresco meal on the patio, or head inside to the table adjacent to the kitchen.

After the sun sets, try a Night Jungle tour, which leaves right from Palmas Pacifica and is within walking distance of Casa Palmeras. Also within walking distance are the Butterfly Research Center and a Chocolate Tour.

Frequently Asked Questions

How close is it to the beach?

There are three nearby beaches within a 10-minute driving distance in Manuel Antonio National Park and the public beaches of Manuel Antonio. Because of the geography of the area, there aren’t very many affordable homes that are on or walking distance to the beach.  All of our guests enjoy the proximity to town and to be honest, it is just a short drive to the beach.

Can I hire a chef?

We can provide you with a professional chef. Prices are the same for 2 to 10 people. After 10 people the cost is $10 per person extra. The cost of food is additional, but the chef will do the shopping and present you with receipts for reimbursement. Dining is designed to be family style as the chef prepares most everything fresh at the villa, so we kindly ask you to choose 1-2 appetizers, 1-2 entrees, 1-2 desserts, etc.  that everyone will share. Once you confirm the dates & meals you’d like to hire the chef for, I would collect a deposit and put you in contact directly with the chef so you can communicate regarding your menu choices.

Is there public transportation?

Manuel Antonio Estates is located on the edge of Quepos, walking distance to town and restaurants. From Quepos, there is about a 3-mile road that runs through the rainforest on a mountain down to the beach/park. Buses run every 15 minutes (50 cents) and the bus stop is right outside the front gate. Taxis are also available 24/7 for $5-$10 per trip, plus, all tours & activities include round trip transportation from MA Estates!

Is it safe?

Yes, Manuel Antonio Estates has 24-hour Security and is a gated community.

Is there air conditioning?

Yes. All Manuel Antonio Estates homes have air conditioners.

How do I get there from San Jose?

You can either take a 20-minute domestic flight on Sansa or Nature Air Airlines into the Quepos airport or make the 2½-hour scenic drive along the Pacific coast. We can also provide you with private or semi-private transportation from anywhere in Costa Rica to Manuel Antonio Estates.

How do I book a domestic flight from San Jose to Quepos?

Let our Concierge take care of this for you.

How does my phone work in Costa Rica?

You can buy a local SIM card at any grocery store, which will give you a Costa Rica phone number and data to use, you can reload with more data at most stores by telling them your phone number. Or you can talk to your cell phone provider about setting up a plan before you arrive.
